Tyler Prescott

Associate Director

Tyler Prescott attended Flanagan High School, where he was taught by Mr. Steve Rivero and Mr. Ed Maina. Tyler played in almost every ensemble at Flanagan and served as a benevolent member of the Falcon Sound Alliance until he graduated in 2014. After graduating, he decided to become a staff member at Flanagan as a Visual Technician. In the winter season of 2016, Tyler became Logistical Administrator of Flanagan Winds. Under the direction of Robert Rivero, he helped put together their first season and became Silver Medalists at WGI World Championships in Dayton. He later became Associate Director of Flanagan Winds in 2017 and continued to help the staff and students to achieve a Scholastic World Class Silver Medal, in 2018 a Scholastic World Class Gold Medal and in 2019 a Scholastic World Class Silver Medal.

Tyler has taken his talents of music and visual performance to many schools across Broward County. During the 2018 marching season, he became Visual Caption Head at Hollywood Hills High School. Under the direction of Mr. Michael Gabriel, he helped lead a successful season for the students. He would continue to spear head the visual design of the Hollywood Hills program throughout the 2019 marching season. He would also continue to be on the Visual staff at Flanagan High School where Mr. Gabriel would begin his tenure as Director of Bands. Tyler has helped organize countless programs whether through leading and inspiring the students, building props, or helping staff and directors. He will feel right at home with FIU Winds and can’t wait to contribute to the seasons ahead!
